For the average man that is not settled in who they are (confident), it is their attempt as some kind of primitive "Challenge"... having no right or reason to challenge us. We are simply doing our thing as men, whatever we may be doing.
One thing I have noticed is that when men are not secure in themselves, though insecure narcissists, they typically try to challenge us confident men in any way that they can to make us feel insecure... to make them feel better about themselves.
The idea of this shirt is to stand boldly and embrace the challenges given to us by week spirited unnecessarily competitive men. In the gym, they typically try to "size us up" by looking at our chest (not just at the gym) to see if they can make us feel insecure and less confident in ourselves.

There are many ways to interact when they look up to challenge you. If you look directly at them it says, "I will play this confidence game... lets, go". If your attention is on what you are doing, it says "I don't care, and am going to continue to do me". If you are looking at something, they will look to see what you are looking at, to see what catches your attention, typically to try to find out what they can hold over you to persuade your attention/power.
There are many psychological childish games men play with each other. Take the battle on directly.
