THE POWER OF AFFIRMATIONS
Reading and listening to "Affirmations" can be a very beneficial way of re-programming thought pattern habits.
Yes, I know... you have probably heard somewhere about the idea of affirmations for success. It can seem like some kind of "frou-frou New Age Spirituality" practice if not properly understood. Though, affirming empowering belief patterns in our psyche has been proven time and time again to subtly and profoundly make huge impacts in many people's lives.
The thought patterns we have programed into our psyche are like the fibers of our muscles. The more we "strengthen" them by cycling through similar patterns, and more importantly the emotional states they stem from or create as a bi-product, we create our base-line narratives, beliefs, and lenses that we interact with our inner narratives and external experiences of the environment around us. Everything is perception.
It is basically the placebo effect, strengthened by belief and intention, that are the most powerful internal structures that dictate/influence how we think, interact with ourselves, and the world around us.
Level Up Technique
I would like to approach this practice from a different perspective than you may be used to hearing it presented. "Subconscious Affirmations" can be a very useful practice to get into only if we can connect with and see validity in the "I am" statements. I have learned from my own practice that only if I can say "YES... THIS IS TRUE" (or has a resonance of truth) to the affirmation, does it create those feelings in me that are empowered by the statement.
For this technique, I would like to suggest something I believe will have more impact than finding a random affirmation recording online. You can begin by writing down as many positive things about yourself as you can think of, that you feel are accurate statements, and repeat them to yourself as you write them down. (Best to write while in a positive mood)
Then from there... speak and record them in an audio form to listen to as often as possible. The idea is to make them as personal as possible. To strengthen our Subconscious belief towards the affirmations we choose, we have to strengthen our internal belief in the words we use for the affirmations.
When we listen to our recording and feel connected to the affirmations, we will receive more benefit and they will have a stronger impact on our subconscious memory fibers.
Going to sleep listening to them has a great effect on our subconscious mind as well, due to the Brain-wave activity in our resting state, and how our Psyche works with different brain wave patterns through-out the day.
To take this technique a step further, we can also overlap them on various "Binary Beet" audios and listen to them throughout the day. This technique will replicate more receptive brain waves while in sleep cycles or meditation while dominantly in Alpha brain wave state throughout our waking day. Kind of like the difference between "short-term and long-term memory" programming. We are aiming for long term with strengthening these thought patterns.
This technique helps to further imprint these positive thought patterns into our psyche because of the various frequency wave patterns these frequencies induce in our brain.
